Innovators Under 35 is the most prestigious recognition worldwide from MIT Technology Review
 

Since 2012, MIT Technology Review has been performing a talent search in several Latin American countries for the most talented young innovators and entrepreneurs who are developing new technologies to address the most pressing issues faced by society. To that end, the magazine, property of the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT), has celebrated local editions of its most prestigious competition in Argentina, Bolivia, Brazil, Chile, Colombia, Central America, Ecuador, Mexico, Paraguay, Peru and Uruguay, always pursuing the same objective: to award innovation. 

Beginning 2017, the competition has gone one step further by aiming to compile a pool of 35 profiles from all around the Latin American continent.

The 35 Innovators Under 35 Latin America were chosen in 2019 from more than 2,000 applications by a jury formed by experts in technology and innovation coming from all industries. Inventors, Pioneers, Entrepreneurs, Visionaries or Humanitarians, all of them have something in common: they are shaping their fields with revolutionary projects and ideas that will transform our daily lives through technology. On January 30th, 2020 in Mexico City the laureates had the opportunity to participate in the Innovators Under 35 Latin American Awards Ceremony to meet and gather with members of our community, giving them increased visibility in national and international media outlets and boosting their projects and/or initiatives.

During the event, 5 of them received special mentions:Adán Ramírez (Mexico), María Isabel Amorín (Guatemala), Jaime Andrés Pérez (Colombia), Lencio Huamán Peredo (Peru) and Bárbara Tomadoni (Argentina).
